We are excited to commission our first missionary as a sending church. On January 2, 2022, we will have a special focus on Gospel missions. In addition to our normal Sunday School and Adult Bible Study classes at 10 a.m., we will devote the 11 a.m. service to the importance of sending forth those God appoints for global missions. The service will be filled with a time of prayer and music that is themed on missions. Pastor Carl Wood will bring a charge to the congregation from Acts 12:25-13:2 on the role of “The Commissioning Church.” The service will conclude with the commissioning of Bethany [last name omitted for security] for the foreign field in southeast Asia with prayer and laying on of hands.
Following the morning service, we will move into our fellowship hall for a celebration meal featuring soup and sandwiches. Yes, there will be desserts. After all, we are baptists.

Around 1:30 p.m., we will have a final but brief service with more music and a biblical challenge entitled “Fellow Helpers to the Truth.”
Come join with us for this most important day.
